This is a view of one of my paintings that will be available as a limited edition print on watercolor paper. I have always loved the architectural landmarks of the Chicago area and, wish to do more renderings of such buildings as the Tribune Tower, the Sullivan Center etc For Me, having the experiance of going to the School Of The Art Insititute Of Chicago was a great sorce of traning and influances.

My Influences: An artist from the tender age of three, when I first started to draw and paint in three dimensional renderings in pencil, crayon, and paint. I was very influenced and inspired by my Grandfather Otto F. Langmann, a prominent church and collage architect and, watercolor artist who lived and worked in New York City.


Currently I have lived and worked in the Chicago areia for over 30 years. I presently work and live in Chicagos Lincoln Park naghborhood.

Q. How much time do you need to paint a picture of my house?
A. On average, about a month plus whatever my backlog time is (usually 3 to 6 months) but, a larger or complex home or, building will take longer. A large Victorian will take longer than a ranch or bungalow which is simpler to do.
Q.How do I pay for the artwork?
A.You can pay with cash or a check, please consult my price list. A 50% deposit is required at the time of the order is placed, with the balance due at the time of delivery.

Q. What picture size do you recommend for a gift to someone?
A.The 12"x 16" picture size is a popular choice. Please note, an attractive gift card is also available for gift presentation if if my backlog is such that I cannot meet your required delivery date.
Q. I have a large house, what is a good picture size?
A. If you have a large or complex home, may I suggest that you choose either the 18'x 24'' or the 22'x 30' size picture (the 22'x 30' picture size is a custom order olny).
Q. Can I get note cards or prints of the house portrait?
A. Yes, please see my price list or, on my website.
Q. Are photographs of my house free?
A.Yes, Thia service is at no charge.
Q.Is delivery of my picture free?
A.Delivery is free for clients in the Chicago Land area. For delivery of artwork outside of the Chicago area, an additional fee of 10% is added to the price of the painting.

Q, What are your prices and picture sizes?
A. Please consult my price list on my website or, in my blog.
Q.What is included in the price of a commissioned artwork?
A. Single Matting is included in the price of each painting. Framing is not included.
Q. How do you go about creating a house portrait?
A.First I Photograph your home and, I consult with you about what view you you want of your home. Then use the photo as a reference creating the watercolor painting. Then I submit the finished artwork to you.
Q. Can I send you a photo of my house for you to use for the painting?
A. Yes, if the photo is well taken, in focus in good daylight, and is a view you like. I prefer to take the photographs myself. That way I can take many views of the house at different angles.
Q. Are you able to move a tree that is blocking the view I like of my house?
A. Yes, I can move most landscaping, lamp posts, and other obstructions to enhance the view of your home.
